Novo Mesto travel

Novo Mesto is a town and one of the eleven town municipalities in the Lower Carniola region of the Slovenia. According to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia it covers a total area of 298.5 km², along a bend in the Krka River and the town is considered the economic and cultural center of Lower Carniola. On 7 April 2006 it became the see city for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Novo Mesto, which is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Ljubljana.
