Aveiro is a city of some 67,003 people and a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 199.9 km² and a total population of 73,521 inhabitants, and 59,860 electors (2006).It is the second most populous city in the Centro region of Portugal,after Coimbra.The municipality is composed of 14 parishes, and is located in the District of Aveiro (Aveiro distrito)and the chief city of Baixo Vouga.
